Bringing Deforestation to an End
General Assembly,
Acknowledging the fact that industries support deforestation by cutting down trees to create a range of products sold by them,
Noting that we are In need from those trees to obtain oxygen,
Keeping in mind us humans and many other living species need oxygen to survive, deforestation can lead to an end to planet earth little by little,
Taking into account that an area of rainforest the size of a football field is being destroyed every second,
Reaffirmed that more than sixty percent of the land is being cleared for cattle ranches,
Studied that the area of land cleared in Egypt during the decade is equivalent to nearly three times the size of France.
Regard for the cause of gorillas, chimpanzees, orgutan, Bengal tiger, jaguar, toucan, happy eagle, manatee, and the grey mouse being endangered species,
Taking note that by bringing an end to deforestation can save five hundred-thirty seven species from becoming extinct a day leading to fifty thousand a year,
Recognizing this will bring an end to biodiversity,
Considering that we have programs like Agenda twenty-one that is a plan of action to help the environment and was adopted by the United Nations and UNEP,
1. Request that Agenda twenty-one and UNEP enforce laws to help bring deforestation to an end;
a) Restricting incorporations and ranchers from participating in deforestation;
b) Affirming that by cutting down trees from rainforest or other natural habitats is considered stealing and should be fined a minimal of five-hundred thousand dollars;
c) In addition to a black trash bin and a blue recycling bin the green one should be mandatory as well for garden waste;
d) Making it mandatory to having to plant one tree for each person in the household older than eight years old every year on the first two weeks of January;
e) Involving the high school community service with helping the environment;
2. Appeals the fact that a notice is send to every member of the UN encouraging them to support us economically so we can help them environmental only for better and never for worse;
3. Encourages the General Assembly to support Agenda twenty-one and UNEP with the resources necessary to make the best of these new laws and to help them getting known for what they are doing who they are and what their goal is;
4. Instructs the General Assembly to make sure Agenda twenty-one and UNEP are doing their job correctly having inspection on them every six months and measuring changes the rainforest good or bad every first of the month.
